FUMC strives to provide a safe and loving environment where your child can learn about God, become His disciple, and learn to serve others. It is our mission to do this from the time they are born until they are confirmed in 6th grade. Please contact Director of Children and Family Ministries, Jeff Hobbs if you have any questions.

At First UMC, evangelism is not viewed as a program, but a lifestyle of all followers of Jesus. To equip all to grow in their personal ministry of evangelism, and to equip the church, First UMC develops Evangelism as a ministry of “Igniting Personal Commitment to Christ”. Through plans for Outreach, Hospitality, and Education, the Evangelism Team leads the following areas of action. Find your place today, and get “ignited”!

Life is best when it is shared!

At First United Methodist in Bryan you will find many ways to share life with others.

Worship is the fellowship of celebrating a life centered in God.  Services are held on Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Learning is great in groups.  First UMC has many Sunday School groups that center their learning on God’s revelation in scripture.  There is a class waiting for you!  Sunday School classes form supportive fellowships of prayer and service as well as learning.  Visit a class on Sundays from 9:45 to 10:45.

Many other groups are available for fellowship including choirs, UM Men and UM Women, special studies, and service groups.

Service and Missions have always been an important part of life at FUMC Bryan. As a church that has been richly blessed in many ways we continually seek to share God's love with our community and the entire world through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.  More information may be obtained by contacting the church office or Associate Pastor Jennifer Webber.

LIFE Groups

Are you looking for a deeper relationship with Christ?  Are you looking for a group to share concerns, joys and prayer?

LIFE groups are small groups which support each other in our faith walk by sharing our experiences with God.

We at First United Methodist Church believe that there is a place in the ministry of music for everyone who desires to take Paul's challenge to heart and accept music leadership as a commitment. Although rehearsal time is necessary, we believe the spiritual growth of our membership and corporate building of our musical “body of Christ” far outweigh the “costs” of time spent! Come and join us in the musical family at First United Methodist Church. Please call Chris Caffee at the church office, 779-1324 today!

Youth (grades 7-12)

Eikon Student Ministries strives to provide a safe place for students as they journey through their faith exploring the truth of Jesus Christ and discovering their God-given talents and gifts, as they are challenged to be genuine and are offered experiences to share Christ with others.  Through discipleship, worship, evangelism, service, and fellowship, we hope to look more like Christ every single day.  Our ministry includes all students in 7th through 12th grades.  For more information, please Megan Hanson.
