Service and Missions have always been an important part of life at FUMC Bryan. We know ourselves to be a church that has been richly blessed in many ways and we continually seek to share God's love with our community and the entire world through our prayers, presence, gifts, and service.  More information may be obtained by contacting the church office or Associate Pastor Jen Webber.

 

Mobility Worldwide

Formerly Personal Energy Transport, Mobility Worldwide vehicles is underway! Volunteers are needed for the building, painting, assembling, packing, and shipping of the units. Donations can be made to Mobility Worldwide, TX Inc. Each unit costs approximately $300 to complete. These vehicles are sent all over the world to people who are impaired by disease, accidents, or landmines.  For more information, please call 979-821-2222.

 

Bereavement Meal Ministry

Our Bereavement Meal Ministry provides refreshments and/or small meals for funeral and memorial service receptions here at the church.  If you would like to volunteer to help this ministry, please fill out the volunteer form, available at the church office.  For more information, please contact Natalie Patterson at 979-779-1324, or email nataliepatterson@fumcbryan.org.

 

Youth Missions

Our youth take yearly mission trips throughout the U.S. doing everything from rebuilding hurricane damaged homes and church along the Gulf Coast to being camp counselors for mentally and physically challenged adults at Camp Hope in Colorado.  For more information, please contact our Senior High Youth Ministries Director, Megan Hanson at megan@fumcbryan.org or 979-779-1324.

 

Society of St. Stephen

The S.O.S.S. supports the needy in the community.  Currently, a volunteer gives their time once a week to assist families or individuals with items that may help them get back on their feet.  Funds donated go to assist individuals with medicine, or utilities providing temporary aide.

 

12-Step Recovery

Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor

You can link your KrogerPlus Card with the Neighbor to Neighbor programs!  Once the card is scanned, it will be active for the remainder of the program year, which ends each April. Recently this program earned $444 benefiting Still Creek Ranch, also the program has earned $1108 benefiting FUMC Missions.  We thank you for your support!

 

Local Missions

The local missions receiving support from our congregation are many and varied, but several are especially noteworthy, including the following:

 

Brazos Church Pantry - Area churches work together through the Brazos Church Pantry to provide food for local families in need. They are located at 403A West 26th Street in Downtown Bryan. For more information, email the Pantry at info@brazoschurchpantry.org or call 979-822-9660.

 

Crestview Methodist Retirement Community - Members of FUMC are among the volunteers who provide special services to these residents.  For more information, please call 979-776-9294.

 

Drums for Christ - We support a local family, the Drums from Navasota, who work through The Mission Society to share the love of Christ to the people of Spain.  For more information, please call 979-985-5268.

Family Promise of B/CS - Local churches rotate on a weekly basis hosting homeless families while they get on their feet.  Hosts serve meals, tutor children, play games with the families, and drive a van to the Family Promise daycenter.  For more information, please email familypromisebcs@gmail.com or call 979-268-4309.

 

Habitat for Humanity - The local chapter is one of the most active anywhere, having built over 75 homes in Bryan/College Station. Twin City Mission - "Providing a home for the homeless, being a friend to the friendless, and giving hope to the hopeless."
